Our street is all free parking and there are always at least a couple of spaces available close to the house.
The only restriction is Alternate Side Parking, which is active between 11:30am-1pm Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri, and just means that vehicles need to be on one or other side of the street during those times.

While we do face a highway, we have very good sound insulation and triple-glazed windows which were installed in the last five years so there is little to no noise from the street.
